Program Overview

This year we have expanded our collaboration efforts to include, the Radiological Society of North America, the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group and SNM. By doing so, we have expanded the program to include sessions on functional and molecular imaging. The increasing use of magnetic resonance imaging and molecular PET imaging techniques is changing the manner in which radiation therapy planning is being carried out. Advances in molecular tracers, particularly those that address components of the cancer phenotype of relevance to radiation therapy, are altering our method for assessing response to therapy and determining recurrence. This seminar will discuss these issues in a timely and collaborative forum.
