ASTRO has recently updated the Web templates that are available to ASTRO members.The templates include disease specific information on cancers commonly treated with radiation, descriptions of the radiation treatment team, explanations of the different radiation treatments available, clinical trial information and details on side effects. The templates can also be personalized with your facility’s address and photos.

ASTRO’s Performance Assessment for the Advancement of Radiation Oncology Treatment (PAAROT) has launched and is free to members for 2008. PAAROT has been approved by the American Board of Radiology and satisfies the ABR’s Part IV Practice Quality Improvement of its Maintenance of Certification Program.

The call for abstracts for the 2008 Chicago Multidisciplinary Symposium in Thoracic Oncology is now open. The meeting will be held November 13-15, in Chicago. The meeting is co-sponsored by ASTRO, ASCO, IASLC and the University of Chicago.
